With 90% of the precincts reported, it seems that Hung Nguyen (D) has lost his bid to become the first Vietnamese-American elected to the Virginia House of Delegates. It was an opportunistic campaign with lack of funding and little support from his own Vietnamese community. Thus the result was encouraging and it is up to him to learn from this experience in order to mount a challenge two years from now.
